Learning a language is about more than grammar, vocabulary, or test scores. It’s about building confidence, curiosity, and the skills to communicate effectively in the real world.
I aim to create a positive, motivating environment where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and encouraged to take risks in their learning.
I use the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach, combined with personalised lesson plans that include a variety of materials and resources: from authentic texts, videos, and articles to interactive activities, so that learning is dynamic, practical, and enjoyable.
I also prioritise student wellbeing. I understand that learning takes place alongside the complexities of life, so I focus on creating a space where students feel confident to progress at their own pace. My continuing education, including ASIST training and a Coaching & Mentoring diploma, supports this holistic approach.
Together, we’ll not only improve your English, but also build the self-confidence and resilience that make learning sustainable and rewarding.
My name is Veronika. I was born in Prague and spent most of my life there, but English and the cultures of Anglophone countries have always fascinated me. At the age of six, I decided I would one day go to England to study.
I have firsthand experience with all the challenges you face: English high-school exams, state exams, Cambridge and IELTS tests, and university studies in both the UK and the USA. I speak several languages, but English is the closest to my heart. And I never want to stop learning!
I fulfilled my big dream, and now I would love to help others fulfill theirs.

While there are "only" around 380 million native speakers (making it the third-most spoken language), a total of 1.5 billion people speak English worldwide. It is the true lingua franca that connects people in business, diplomacy, and on the internet, regardless of their native language.
On average, 4,000 new words are added to the English language annually—that's a new word every 2 hours! This dynamism reflects how English adapts to modern technology, science, and pop culture, making it a vibrant and ever-evolving language.
While we often only think of American and British English, linguists estimate that there are over 160 English accents and dialects in the world. Some are so distinct that they can sound like a foreign language even to a native speaker. This rich variety reflects the global spread of the language and its adaptation within different cultures.
